Telecom/Networking terms that sound like something else
"Butt Set" : A piece of equipment used to test telecommunications circuits. It fits in a pack and is worn like a fanny pack by a field technician.
"Man Basket": Another name for a Genie lift, the bucket on a lift that lifts a person up to do work on a telephone line or cellular tower. I give Patsy's Special Bonus Points for sexism on this one.
"Honey Pot": I know what you're thinking. I thought it too and blushed at work in front of all my coworkers. This term is used to describe a "fake" server used to lure hackers away from real servers in a network. It looks like it has all the goodies: sensitive data like social security numbers, but it's all fake data.
